I’ve loved sports for as long as I can remember, growing up watching games with my dad and sharing that passion with him. Moving from Nebraska to Chicago only deepened that love, as the city’s incredible sports culture has been one of my favorite things about living here. This lifelong passion fuels my enthusiasm for creating engaging, dynamic content in the sports space.

As a Social Media and Communications Intern for DePaul Athletics, I support digital coverage and in-game operations for multiple athletic programs, with a primary focus on basketball. My role bridges content creation, live event coverage, and behind-the-scenes coordination to ensure timely, engaging, and brand-aligned storytelling across DePaul Athletics’ social platforms.

game day poster

This project was created as part of a student design contest for DePaul Basketball, where participants were invited to design a game day poster to be distributed to fans. My design was selected as the winning submission and was printed and handed out to fans at a home game at Wintrust Arena.
After my design was chosen, I worked with the DePaul Athletics team to make minor refinements to ensure the final poster aligned with production needs and brand standards. The project moved from concept to print, resulting in a tangible piece experienced by fans during a live game.

The poster was designed using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, following DePaul brand guidelines for color, typography, and logo usage. The goal was to create a bold, energetic visual that captured the excitement of game day while remaining consistent with DePaul’s athletic identity.

The final poster was professionally printed and distributed to fans at the game, serving as both a promotional item and a collectible. This project highlights my ability to work independently, design within brand constraints, and successfully compete in a real-world creative selection process.

This project is a short video essay spotlighting a women’s tennis international student-athlete. While I did not operate the camera, I led the creative direction and post-production for the piece.
My role included:
Developing the narrative concept and creative vision
Writing and structuring interview questions
Directing the interview and overall storytelling flow
Editing the final video and color correcting footage
The piece focuses on the athlete’s personal journey, identity, and experience balancing sport, academics, and life as an international student.
